- Can we ‘build’ happiness?
- And if so, what does that look like?

Returning to Bliss ‘post-CV19’? An exploration of shifts in our beliefs & values.
It’s not over till it’s over. “Post-CV19” has taken on a whole new meaning ever since lifting of Stage 4 restrictions took a backseat to the 4th wave of the variants like delta, lambda and mu.
Nevertheless, our beliefs and values regarding people, situations and the world have shifted for sure. For example, maybe we have become more grateful for what we had before, when we took it all for granted.
This interactive workshop will attempt to include (but not exclusive to) the following areas.
- A working definition of beliefs and values.
- A review and discussion of specific changes in our behaviours, and whether they have been out of necessity or choice.
- And if the former, have any of these behaviours become a conscious & deliberate choice in the final outcome.
- How have these changed behaviours impacted and influenced our belief and value system?
- An attempt to link this realignment of our life priorities to a quadrant of values through a questionnaire.

“WINDS OF CHANGE” SERIES
Session 1: 28 April 2020
REINVENTION OF WORK
In our current climate of unprecedented consequences, the nature of work as we know it will change by default, if not by (enforced) creative design. It is the latter that will define our resilience.
This webinar (and the subsequent handouts) will endeavour to cover the following:
Our associated losses and their relationship to grief reactions
A quadrant of change strategies
A model of a Change Curve (and how it relates to business)
A view of two of the four types of resilience
Some resilience skills and attributes to aid our redesign of work
Transitioning through change in the new economy
Session 2: 19 May 2020
READJUSTMENT TO RELATIONSHIPS
The strain that the current situation is putting on our lives is immense. And it is affecting most of our relationships in some way.
It makes perfect sense to be struggling in our relationship now. We’re stuck inside our homes, forced to spend more time together than ever before. We’re relying on a partner/spouse/roommate for almost all of our social support because we can’t see our friends or relatives.
We’re balancing new responsibilities like working from home, child care, home schooling or housekeeping. It’s undoubtedly a lot of change all at once. At the same time, some of us feel guilty about acknowledging our relationship woes because it seems as if there are much bigger issues to worry about.
This webinar (and subsequent handouts) seek to address the following:
Awareness of and intentional changes to the types of personal boundaries that may apply in our relationships.
A foray into how emotional intelligence may assist us.
Specific research-based strategies on the DOs and DON’Ts in our relationships – much more so in view of the current events.
Other tips on sustaining and building on our relationships – for our partner, other family members as well as for our ‘remote’ relationships.
New research on non-traditional social strategies in maintaining our ‘belongingness’ regarding social connections; as well as saving our relationships(!).
. Session 3: 16 June 2020
REALIGNMENT WITH LIFE
The current pandemic has certainly, in varying degrees, affected our ability to cope or integrate the ideas and emotions involved in that experience.
This can take a serious emotional toll on us, even if the event did not cause physical damage. This can have a profound impact on our identity, resulting in negative effects in mind, body, soul and spirit.
It is not the event that determines whether something is traumatic to us, but our experience of the event and the meaning we make of it.
Post-pandemic life is not about returning to the same life as it was previously experienced before, but rather it is about undergoing significant ‘life-changing’ psychological shifts in thinking and relating to the world, that contribute to our personal process of change, that is deeply meaningful.
We may find that this “benefit-finding” gives us a broader perspective of life and some positive personal development.
This webinar (and subsequent handouts) will attempt to cover:
A brief look into the world of trauma stress.
The similarities and differences between resilience and PTG.
Completion of a PTG questionnaire.
Discussions on the possible gains in some aspects of our living resulting from this ‘stress-related growth’ or ‘adversarial growth’.
How this may translate to/have transformed our realignment of our wellness wheel.
