Comments From Lifetime Learning Centre Workshop April 27, 2018

What was the most meaningful aspect of the workshop?

  • To realize I am on the right track
  • Being in the moment
  • Jason’s mindfulness/meditation  knowledge & his presentation
  • I can change my behavior
  • Being present solves many challenges, curious, let it be, non-judgmental
  • Much easier than meditation with the breathing replacing need for mantra. Also the focus on non-judgement of passing thoughts. Let it be. Mindfulness is a skill to be learned
  • Going away with the knowledge that, with personal effort, it is possible to be mindful
  • Learning the difference between mindfulness and meditation
  • “Pause” button
  • Defining Mindfulness
  • Helpful explanations and examples

  • Deep breathing, watching the raging river
  • Watching situations from a distance (without wading in) may be more peaceful, leading to self-care
