This three-part series is designed to assist employers, managers, supervisors and employees. Part 1 establishes protocols for the workplace for those with responsibility for supervising and provides information on how Parts 2 & 3 will work with employees to examine inappropriate emotional responses in the workplace. Courses can be taken individually or as group.
Anger Management Protocols (Part 1)
This workshop is designed for Human Resource professionals and supervisors. The workshop discusses the appropriate responses for emotional outbursts, repressed anger, overt anger issues, and how to establish protocols with an employee exhibiting inappropriate responses in the workplace.
In this workshop, you will explore:
- The do’s and don’ts of managing the immediate situation,
- Legal obligations to protect staff and fellow employees, and
- Review of the material and approach of Anger Awareness (Part 2) and Anger Styles (Part 3)
Anger Awareness (Part 2)
Before assisting workshop members with anger, they must first understand the basics of the emotion. This workshop is designed for employees or people with anger management concerns and focuses on teaching about anger awareness:
In this workshop, you will explore:
- What the anger triggers are,
- How you express your anger, and
- How may anger management techniques and relaxation techniques work for you?
Anger Awareness (Part 3)
With a basic understanding of the emotion, this workshop examines what triggers emotional responses and practice anger management techniques.
In this workshop, you will explore:
- What do we think causes our personal anger,
- What are our personal physiological signs when angry,
- How do we personally act, and
- Do we have a personal favourite style(s) we gravitate towards when angry?
